Northern Province Agriculture Minisetr Ankaranesan has stated that Jaffna District excels in the cultivation and production of onions. Onion is cultivated in 4200 hectares of land and the onion harvest was 55, 000 metric tons. He was addressing an event held at Dictrict Agricultural Centre in Thirunelveli recently.
